Training Youths To Be Leaders

13 Dec 2022Berita IOI

Have our children spent too much time in front of a screen, whether it is to seek remote learning or entertainment? It is important to prepare them to re-enter a society they may not be comfortable with, which is why Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng (Yayasan TSLSC) organised a 3D/2N leadership youth camp from 13 to 15 December 2022 at the Forest Lodge, Radiant Retreat Site A, Bentong, Pahang, where 30 of our IOI Group’s employees’ children, aged between 13 and 17, learnt about communication, confidence, being independent and leadership competency, and more.

After two immersive days of fun, challenging and learning activities, Yayasan TSLSC Executive Director Datin Joanne Wong and IOI Corporation Berhad Group Head of Sustainability Dr Surina Ismail attended Day 3 as panel judges to evaluate what our youngsters have learnt about the 7Rs (Rethink, Repurpose, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Repair, Recover), and the three pillars of sustainability (People, Planet and Prosperity). Our future leaders left for home at 1.30 pm with IOI core values (Integrity, Commitment, Team Spirit, Cost Efficiency, Innovation, and Excellence in Execution) instilled in them.
