Shasha Phoon Choy Lin

Shasha was awarded a staff scholarship in 2014 to pursue her Masters in Business Administration part-time at Segi College. She also holds a diploma in Information Technology. She has been with the IOI Group since 2012 and executes the role of leasing. Shasha loves cycling; regularly participating in cycling competitions. She also enjoys working out and going to the gym. She is currently the Assistant Building Manager at IOI Boulevard Puchong.



Our team caught up with Shasha to find out what she’s been up to since joining the Group. Here’s our chat with her.

How did you benefit from the Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng Scholarship?

YTLSC has funded my further studies in terms of financially, to pay for my course & lecture fees. Obtaining the scholarship allowed me to concentrate on my studies and not have to worry about whether I could handle juggling between work and study at the same time. Furthermore, the experiences and knowledge learned in my studies are applicable and helps me in my day-to-day tasks at IOI Properties.

How would you describe your role in IOI Group?

As an employee, I execute the role of Leasing. My roles is to lease out vacant or unsold units at IOI Boulevard and the recently completed Skypod Square at Puchong Jaya. Among my tasks are meeting up with clients, understanding their business need and recommending them a suitable office unit or retail unit to buy or rent based on their requirements and budget. Apart from, I am given an opportunity to also assist tenants by recommending ideas of renovation, operational matters, local authority application and most importantly, fostering a good Tenant-Owner relationship.

What do you like most about the job?

Meeting up with all sorts of people, understanding their businesses and being able to assist them to ensure their businesses are sustained in my project.
