Scholarships

To be eligible for the IOI Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

General Eligibility

• Malaysian citizen
• Confirmed placement OR currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree at:
  • Local public/private universities
  • Foreign branch campuses based in Malaysia

Approved Fields of Study

• Engineering: Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Chemical
• Food Technology / Oleochemical / Chemistry
• Information Technology (IT)
• Agriculture Sciences: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Forestry, Plantation Management

Pre-University / Entry-Level

• STPM / A Level - Minimum 2As
• Unified Examination of Chinese Schools (UEC-SM3) - Minimum 5As
• Foundation - CGPA of 3.5 and above
• Australian TER - Minimum 90.0

Current Undergraduates

• First or second-year students must have:
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.3, or
  • Upper Second-Class Honours (or equivalent)

• Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong co-curricular achievements.
• Not receiving other scholarships or loans with bonding obligations.
• Willing to serve an employment bond with IOI Group after graduation.
• The bond duration depends on the scholarship amount and course length.
• Maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.00 throughout the programme.

• Living expenses allowance

• Applications are reviewed after the closing date.
• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted within 1 month for an interview:
  • Interviews will be held in person or via virtual (for East Malaysia candidates only)
• If you do not hear from us within 2 months, your application is considered unsuccessful.
