20 Years of Empowerment!

What does 20 years of unwavering dedication look like? Imagine a place where individuals with disabilities are not just supported but empowered to thrive, where every skill learnt and every step forward is a triumph worth celebrating. That's the heart of 爱·关怀之家 (Lovely Disabled Home), which recently marked its 20th anniversary with gratitude, inspiration and a renewed commitment to inclusion.
 

From its humble beginnings with just two members, Lovely Disabled Home has flourished into a thriving community of over 50 individuals across two workshops. Over the years, this initiative has provided vocational training, employment opportunities and life skills helping persons with disabilities (PwDs) gain confidence, independence and a sense of purpose.

IOI Foundation (formerly known as Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng) proudly joined in celebrating Lovely Disabled Home's incredible journey at a "WOW 20" Anniversary Charity Gala & Press Conference on 11 March 2025. The event also brought together supporters, partners and the public for a meaningful experience. For the first time, the doors of the workshops were opened, offering guests an inside look at the remarkable progress made over the past two decades. Attendees witnessed the impact of skills training, heard stories of resilience and saw firsthand how Lovely Disabled Home has changed lives.
 

We hope our RM10,000 contribution will help sustain Lovely Disabled Home's efforts in providing a nurturing space for PwDs, equipping them with essential skills and opportunities for a brighter future. Here's to 20 years of making a difference, and many more to come!
